Secondary
Education
Our small class sizes offer each student a learning environment that fosters a strong, personalized development of their God-given gifts. A low student to teacher ratio allows for a deep level of teacher involvement in each student's studies and gives the best of private education that can be offered.
Curriculum
At Hope RCS we acknowledge that each facet of our lives is to be rooted in God's Word, and so every effort is made to use sound, Biblical curriculum to support this in our teaching. We offer both academic or applied and university or college courses in Math and English to meet each student at their academic level. We also offer learning resource assistance to ensure that each student receives the extra help that is required in any particular area. Co-operative education courses are offered to each student in their grade 12 year to allow them an opportunity to gain experience and familiarity to various career options and settings.
Character Development
High school is about more than academics. It's about personal development and growth within a God-fearing environment. At Hope RCS we seek to cultivate this through required community volunteer hours, involvement on school committees to promote leadership qualities and engagement in mentorship with the elementary students and fellow classmates.
Part-time Enrollment
We work together with homeschooled families who desire to enroll their children on a part-time basis in the secondary level. We encourage these families to meet with us to see and discuss what a part-time enrollment schedule would look like and we will assist them in ensuring that the educational needs for their children are being met. Part-time students are also welcome to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Preparing for the Future
With a Scripture based education, we believe we offer a solid foundation to post-secondary life for our students. Students will graduate with a Hope Reformed Christian School Diploma (HRCSD), as well as an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). This is the basis that each student will need to move forward after high school, whether that be enrolling in university or college, starting an apprenticeship or entering the work force. Career and post-secondary guidance is available throughout the school year and upon request for each student to assist them in their post-secondary pathway planning.
